#509-Maui On The Move

Have you checked out Maui’s culinary scene lately?   Well, here’s your chance.   From the annual culinary classic “Maui Chefs Present,” we’ll see the best of the finest chefs on the island creating some of Maui’s most memorable cuisine.   This year's theme was "you art what you eat," and it’s a night of wining and dining like no other.   Just for good measure, we’ll also climb half way up a volcano to visit an organic farm run by a group of restaurants and worked by the waiters, cooks, and bartenders of those restaurants.   Lastly, we’ll sample some of the best ice cream in the world produced exclusively on the island with real Maui flair.

#510-Getting to Know Tokyo

I’ve wanted to go to Tokyo for years, and this year I finally got the chance.   All I can say is “wow.”   A visit to the Tokyo Seafood Market, the world’s largest, is worth the trip in and of itself.   But, diving into the local cuisine is more than an added bonus.   From seafood, to street food, to the accompanying beverages, Tokyo is teeming with culinary treats sure to excite all of the senses.

#511-Gourmet Switzerland

We all know Switzerland is beautiful and extremely efficient, but did you know how incredibly delicious it is?   You will after this program, which takes you into the kitchens of four of the country’s “Gourmet Palaces.”   And, we won’t just see the creations of the young and talented chefs manning the kitchens-we’ll visit the people responsible for the raw products from a Goat Cheese producer, to a winemaker, to the organic farmer right up the road.   If exquisite cuisine in breath-taking environments sounds good to you, this is your program!

#512-Seductive Sonoma

Just an hour north of the Golden Gate Bridge lies one of my favorite wine country destinations in the world-Sonoma County.   As diverse as it is delicious, Sonoma is home to spectacular scenery, world-class wine, and culinary gems.   We’ll put it all together at the Sonoma Showcase of Wine and Food.   Stretching out over several days and featuring a host of great food and wine events, The Sonoma Showcase of Wine and Food offers you an inside track to some of the county’s finest.   We’ll see the auction and the gourmet gala attached to it, visit with some of Sonoma’s most famous winemakers, and of course, taste some fruits of their labor-all in the beautiful environs of Sonoma County.
