Wine Trailblazers |
Two more Chilean
producers are featured: Vina
Tarapaca and Vina Carmen. Both wineries have been
around for a long time, but both have rejuvinated themselves
with exciting facilities, new grapes, and talented
young winemakers.
Carmen features the talents of Alvaro Espinoza and his passion for
organic farming.
Tarapaca has tapped the expertise of Sergio Correa who has his eye
on Rhone grape varietals making a name in Chile.
We're in the middle of the harvest at Carmen and in some of the most
beautiful scenery around at Tarapaca. Either way, it's a winner. |

Back to
Maui for more incredible restaurants: Mama's Fish
House, The Raw Experience, The Plantation House,
The Hyatt-Regency-Maui, and an organic farmer's market.
Honestly, some of the best food I've eaten in some of the most
beautiful settings I've seen. |

Slice of Sonoma |
We know
Sonoma for growing great grapes and making great
wine, but it's also a great place for raw products
and terrific restaurants.
Bay Oysters actually farm their oysters in neighboring Marin County,
but they call Sonoma home. We head out on the water to visit their
oyster farm first-hand. Then, we travel to John
Ash & Company, perhaps Sonoma's best-known restaurant.
Lastly, we feature the empire that is Kendall-Jackson. We'll chat
with their chief winemaker, visit the vineyards, pair some food
with their wines, and tour their one-of-a-kind sensory garden. |
